Hit-and-Run in Fountain Valley Left Huntington Beach Man Critically InjuredFOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA (July 13, 2023) – A man was seriously injured by a hit-and-run on Bushard Street Tuesday evening.The collision occurred on July 4th, shortly before 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of Bushard Street and Columbus Court.According to the police, the victim was traveling northbound in the bicycle lane when a driver struck the man at the intersection. However, the driver did not render aid to the victim and fled the scene.Responding medical personnel immediately rushed the victim to a hospital where he remained in critical condition. A hazardous material spill on Highway 92 forced street closures and a shelter-in-place order Thursday in San Mateo, police said.The San Mateo Police Department said in an announcement shortly before noon Thursday that officials were examining an apparent liquid spill on eastbound Highway 92 just west of U.S. 101. They asked people in surrounding locations to shelter in place.Officials did not say what hazardous material they believed had been spilled.Police shut down 19th Avenue in both directions from Grant Street to S Norfolk Street, and fire department officials announced the eastbound lane of Highway 92 was expected to be closed for several hours. (KRON) -- The eastbound lanes of Highway 92 just before the 101 interchange in San Mateo will remain shut through the evening commute due to a hazardous liquid spill, officials confirmed. The San Mateo Consolidated Fire Department is advising drivers to avoid the area if possible. Public safety officials are on the scene. People in surrounding locations are being asked to shelter in place as a precautionary measure. Majority of people arrested for drugs in SF not from the city, according to mayor The source of the spill was a large flatbed truck that dumped unknown liquid on the roadway.
