Connecticut ended the Minnesota Lynx season with a dominant 90-75 win in Wednesday’s winner-take-all Game 3 of their first-round WNBA series at Target Center.Playing with lower back discomfort and two early fouls, Napheesa Collier led Minnesota with a playoff-career-high 31 points. But she didn’t get much help.Minnesota shot 43.3%, but if you take away Collier’s 11-for-19 performance, the other Lynx players were a combined 15 of 41 (36.6%), including an uncharacteristic 3 of 12 from Kayla McBride. With 6 minutes remaining — and the Sun leading 72-57 — Collier had 27 points. No other Lynx player had more than six.The Lynx have not won a playoff series since earning the franchise’s fourth WNBA title in 2017.The Sun duo of Alyssa Thomas and DeWanna Bonner had their way near the basket and Tyasha Harris away from it. Thomas finished with 28 points and 12 assists, Bonner had 25 points, 10 rebounds and three blocks, and Harris scored 18 off the bench, including four makes from deep.C...Adirondack Balloon Festival expects larger crowd for 50th Anniversary

ST. LOUIS – It seems like it's back to square one for downtown's Railway Exchange Building, formerly Famous Barr. The historic building was condemned nine months ago after being ravaged by squatters and looters. They have returned, cutting their way through boarded-up windows and doors. There were open entry points on all four sides of the building as of Wednesday.“Every day I see them stealing wire, copper, every morning. I get my coffee, just looking over, it’s crazy,” said Jerome Young, who lives across the street. That craziness stopped for a few months, he said, when the building’s Florida owners hired on-site security. They stopped paying for it a couple of months ago and here we go again: A city crew was boarding up the same hole Wednesday that they boarded up nine months ago. Close Thanks for signing up! ST. LOUIS – The current housing market is a mixed bag. From home prices to inventory, potential buyers and sellers are wondering where they stand. Mortgage rates are fueling a lot of uncertainty.“Mortgage rates aren’t expected to dip below 5% again until about 2025,” Erika Giovanetti, loans expert for U.S. News & World Report, said. This month, the outlet surveyed 1,200 Americans who recently bought homes.“We really wanted to take the pulse on how people who’ve bought a house in the past year feel about their purchase and specifically about their mortgage rate,” Giovanetti said. The survey found that more than half of recent buyers regret taking out a mortgage when rates were high. 78% said they were at least “somewhat stressed.” Interest rates will remain high for the rest of the year. And 84% plan on refinancing to a lower interest rate in the future.“That promise of you’ll be able to refinance down the line—while it’s true, it might just take a little longer than some people in...21-year-old killed in crash at Brentwood Target
