Former President Trump set off a frenzy a few days ago when he declared – without any official word – that he would be arrested on Tuesday, but the case against him in Manhattan has yet to turn up an indictment, lending an air of mystery to if and when the former president will be charged.Reports emerged earlier Wednesday that the grand jury hearing evidence in the probe would not convene on Wednesday, meaning an indictment won’t come until Thursday at the earliest.Fox News reported that at least one more witness was expected to appear on Wednesday before the grand jury, which is hearing evidence about a 2016 hush money payment to adult film star Stormy Daniels, before that meeting was canceled.Although Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg (D) has taken a series of steps in recent days that suggest he is likely to soon seek an indictment, no official word has emerged on that possibility from his office. “I'm a little confused by all the speculation about why the Manhattan DA...The 5 most important things Fed Chair Powell said about the banking crisis Wednesday

Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen told a banking group this week financial conditions were stabilizing.Powell also acknowledged that the failure of Silicon Valley Bank (SVB) that sparked the wider crisis in the banking industry happened despite the engagement of the Fed’s supervisory regulators.Still rising: Fed hikes rates despite concerns over banking crisisHere’s a recap of the most import...2 people died at a shopping mall in Pulaski County

By Eric Tucker | Associated PressWASHINGTON — A federal appeals court in a sealed order Wednesday directed a lawyer for Donald Trump to turn over to prosecutors documents in the investigation into the former president’s retention of classified records at his Florida estate. The ruling is a significant win for the Justice Department, which has focused for months not only on the hoarding of classified documents at Mar-a-Lago but also on why Trump and his representatives resisted demands to return them to the government. It suggests the court has sided with prosecutors who have argued behind closed doors that Trump was using his legal representation to further a crime. The order was reflected in a brief online notice by a three-judge panel of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the District of Columbia Circuit. The case is sealed, and none of the parties in the dispute is mentioned by name. But the details appear to correspond with a secret fight before a lower court judge over whether Tr...$17K of sunglasses stolen in Napa; woman arrested
