ALBANY, N.Y. (NEWS10) — With fall foliage in full swing, It’s not even thanksgiving yet it’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas. A 5600 pound, 38 foot Norway Spruce in Waterford arrived in Albany to adorn empire state plaza.MORE NEWS from NEWS 10Around 8 o'clock this morning the tree was chopped at the stump and lifted onto a flatbed truck.It was a lot of action for the suburban subdivision in Waterford where the tree originated. A circus of media cameras and construction crews came to collect the tree that will go from shading a family of five to shining for thousands.Husband and wife Homeowners Nick and Christina Stack watched as the tree at arrived as a plant in a cup 34 years ago was carried away.“It was given to my mother by my late aunt as a gift when I was born so it's about 34 years old. NEW YORK (PIX11) – New York City Eric Adams believes the Amtrak train service will be partially back up and running by Thursday. Services between Albany and New York City were suspended due to structure issues with a privately owned, non-Amtrak garage located above the Empire Line tracks in New York City. The city shut down the parking garage.Amtrak stated on Monday that they are working with the builder owner and the NYC Department of Buildings to restore service as soon as possible. ST. LOUIS -- The Missouri Department of Conservation is now stocking St. Louis area lakes with rainbow trout. Nearly 40,000 trout will be stocked in the lakes from November until February. This is an annual program to encourage fishing in the state's more urban areas.The fish are going into nine St. Louis City and County lakes, Union City Lake in Franklin County, and five lakes in the August A. Busch Conservation Area in St. Charles County. Gendron Lake, Jefferson Lake, and Wild Acres Park Lake won't be stocked due to ongoing renovation projects. BOULDER — Deion Sanders said he won’t hold a grudge against the four California high school students who are accused of stealing from the CU locker room at the Rose Bowl last month. By BRIAN MELLEY (Associated Press)LONDON (AP) — Police in England arrested a man Tuesday on suspicion of manslaughter in the death of American ice hockey player Adam Johnson, whose neck was cut by a skate during a game.Johnson, 29, was playing for the Nottingham Panthers against the Sheffield Steelers on Oct. 28 when he was struck by an opponent’s skate blade in the Elite Ice Hockey League game at Sheffield’s Utilita Arena.South Yorkshire Police did not name the suspect or provide his age.
