ADAMS COUNTY, Colo. (KDVR) -- A non-profit in Adams County that feeds hundreds of people who are elderly has run out of funds, potentially leaving many folks without a meal.The Senior Hub is hoping to get funds to keep their operation going, and you can help.They were funded by a combination of local and federal dollars. Firefighters battled a massive blaze that sparked inside a church in Fort Lauderdale days before Christmas, and officials said they were alerted by a watchful bystander who saw smoke billowing from the building and called 911.Fort Lauderdale Fire Rescue units responded to the scene of the fire at Mount Bethel Baptist Church in the area of Northwest Ninth Street and 12th Avenue, Saturday night.“Just after 7 o’clock, we were called to a report of a structure fire,” said FLFR Deputy Chief Garrett Pingol.Twenty-five units arrived at the scene to find flames filling the two-story house of worship.“We went to an aggressive attack mode,” said Pingol.Crews discovered the fire began in the sanctuary, the main auditorium of the church, but officials have not specified what caused the flames to start.“It was a fire isolated to the first floor of the church,” said Pingol.Even more frightening: there was no initial alarm that went off in the church.̶...Search underway for armed subject in robbery of Cricket Wireless store in Miramar caught on video

Police seek the public’s help in their search for an armed subject who, they said, robbed a cellphone store in Miramar.According to Miramar Police, the robbery took place at the Cricket Wireless location on the 6300 block of Miramar Parkway, at around 11:35 a.m., Saturday.Surveillance video released by police captured the subject, wearing a light gray hoodie and a white face mask, as he entered the business.Detectives said the subject took off with numerous cellphones and an undisclosed sum of cash.If you have any information on this robbery or the subject’s whereabouts, call Broward County Crime Stoppers at 954-493-TIPS. Three separate collisions across the city sent a total of five people to hospital on Saturday night. Three people were injured in a crash just before 8 p.m. involving a police cruiser in the area of Bayview and Sheppard Avenues. An adult male was sent to a trauma centre with serious but non-life threatening injuries. There was no word on the severity of injuries for the other two victims. Paramedics say the officers involved suffered minor injuries. It was uncertain if the province’s Special Investigations Unit would be called in to investigate. A woman is recovering in hospital after she was hit by a vehicle in Scarborough. Police were called to the area of Sheppard Avenue East and Gateforth Drive around 7 p.m. Saturday. UNIVERSITY CITY, Mo. - An investigation is underway after one person was fatally shot Saturday afternoon in University City near a gas station. The University City Police Department says the shooting happened just after 2 p.m. in the 7400 block of Olive Boulevard near Hanley Road. Witnesses say they heard several gunshots and saw a white Buick sedan traveling westbound along Olive Boulevard soon afterwards. Police say the victim was inside the sedan just before the gunfire. City officials saw bodycam footage after police SUV crashed into bar – Source The victim was rushed to a hospital and was later pronounced deceased. Police have not yet disclosed the victim's name, age or gender. No arrests have been made at this time and no suspect information is available. This is a developing story.
