Two Pronounced Dead after Two-Vehicle Collision near Sonoma AvenueSONOMA COUNTY, CA (December 12, 2023) – One man and one woman died early Saturday morning in a head-on crash on Highway 116 and Sonoma Avenue. The incident occurred at approximately 12:11 a.m.According to reports, the driver of an eastbound Mitsubishi 3000GT swerved left on the highway, resulting in a head-on collision with an approaching Toyota 4 Runner.Emergency responders pronounced the male driver and female passenger of the Mitsubishi deceased at the scene. However, their identities remain undisclosed. The man seated in the rear passenger seat of the Mitsubishi was transported to Santa Rosa Memorial Hospital with serious injuries.The male driver of the Toyota also sustained major injuries and was hospitalized for treatment.The California Highway Patrol (CHP) is actively investigating the circumstances of the Highway 116 head-on crash. Homegrown circuses are a San Francisco tradition. Going back to the Pickle Family Circus in the 1970s, various circus troupes such as Make*A*Circus or Sweet Can Productions could be found doing summer shows in the parks or indoor shows during the holiday season.For the last 15 years, one troupe that’s taken up the torch is Circus Bella. (KRON) -- A man who police say stabbed two people in Berkeley on Friday night was arrested Tuesday morning, according to the Berkeley Police Department. Byron Decles, 23, was identified by BPD as a suspect in a double stabbing in the area of El Camino Real and Oakridge Steps.Police initially responded to a possible home intruder at the location just before 6:30 p.m. Friday. Two victims were located at the scene and taken to Highland Hospital.
